Because they are unsure of how they look. Probably, friends and parents say they are good, but does not feel as attractive, and foreigners will give more honest with them.
You also need to know anything about how they want to go into modeling, or in love with a boy, but do not know who on their appearance, or if you put a picture on MySpace or Facebook, and are not sure away. (I do not look ugly to see a picture of the developed world.)
